Good morning, Monsters,

Here’s a bit of irony I didn’t have on my Bingo card for the year. A great glowing orb has stationed itself above the Dark sea which, as you know, makes up the majority of Level 6. It’s a very much…a Bright sea now. Or at least brighter.

The Trolls of level 6 have reported feeling calm, even serene and mildly joyful, floating on the surface. (They use boats, do NOT swim in the Dark Sea.)

I paid the orb a visit, I had to cast a darkness around my head and wear some cool shades to get close. I will say that the frequencies around the orb are very calming and free of magical manipulation. The light is almost natural and the soft sound of children playing radiates from its surface. Other than that, it was silent on the topics of both entry and purpose.

We’re gonna watch the situation. Trolls are offering boat rides for acceptable trade. I don’t see a problem with it right now so I’m backing Troll rides. No troll tricks, on Lich’s word.

While I’m waiting on printing costs, I’m crafting the Viva La Dungeon “Promotional Tournament Edition.”

A streamlined package with everything you would need to run a game of Viva. It wouldn’t feature all the Dungeon Bombs, Characters and Items that the final version will, but it will definitely get the ball rolling for creating in-store Viva nights where you could win a copy of our book.

We are going to look to partner with 3 game stores to be Dungeon partners, to test out this idea. We’ve met two potential partners already out-of-state! In the coming weeks I’ll be looking closer to home.

First, I need to get these editions whipped up.

Viva “PTE” will start out on Level 1, since the book’s story is set there as well. I want to get the Encounter cards into the new square card format, and I need to revisit card layouts. I’ll have a lot to share next week.

The Mushroom token test went well last Tuesday.

Giving bonus permanent stat boosts turns out to be a hit.

However I’d like to try out a different delivery system than the one I used.

I want to try out something I’m calling the Splooge. It’s a working title. Greedmaw says I should NOT use it in the final product. Probably right, but. It’s a fun word - and if the Mushrooms were to splooge out onto the map. Ok yea i see it.

We are going to try out a new way for the Mushrooms to enter the game tonight!

Introducing Baddy & Muddy Yaga, a real swamp couple of The Dream. Baddy is the brains and the voice, Muddy Dread is the brawn and the gut. And together they are officially the Legendary Creature for Level 5. (More on LC’s later.)
