Isabelle Pock, the creator of everyone’s favorite dungeon brew to hate (and in some cases consider a war crime), Fizzy Rat Innards, has recently begun adding cannabis to the recipe.

This has created a shortage of the new dungeon treasure. Isabelle is working with Snafterton, a troll engineer on six to create a contraption to produce more.

Isabelle also claims the Rat Innards are magically-generated. I don’t know what that means, but I look forward to theorizing over a cup with you on two.

The Viva Battle-Royale Adventure Game Show

One of the experiments with the Game Show has been a set of Characters we’ve followed through three seasons of Viva. These seasons comprised a three act story for each of those characters.

This is the final season with these characters.
Their arcs conclude now.

Ginger

When we first met Ginger, she was a Twitch streamer.
Ginger wanted nothing more in the world than to connect with people.
And in the Dungeon she found that included horrific ways she never intended.
Bright and energetic, Ginger found herself a bright light in a very dark place.

The Dungeon was brutal to Ginger in that first season, it left scars, it fought to break her.
And in that fire Ginger turned inside. She found that her need to connect with people was because she had no connection inside, she didn’t feel connected to anyone - most importantly herself. She came in to the Dungeon with nothing. Which meant there was nothing the Dungeon could take, and if she looked at it the right way, there was plenty for HER to take.

Ginger entered their second season of Viva with more energy than the last. They weren’t beaten, they were one of the first to know they were evolving. Becoming. They would be the one taking from here on out, and they wanted everyone to know it. And while they battled the Dungeon, they remained inside and in that void inside they thought was empty they found a little boy who very much wanted to connect with them.

It was in the darkness that they both found a friend. A knock on the door if you will, by way of synchronicities, the right pair of gloves at the right moment, the potion of health appearing just as they’d painfully wished for one. They were not alone. There was a friend to them both.

Wherezit, the entity of the lost and found. The purveyor of quantum connections, and avid Viva La Dungeon Patron had taken a special liking to Ginger. Wherezit had been holding on to Ginger’s “lost” identity for so long, it was happy to return the precious thing and in doing so won the faith of Ginger.

Ginger enters this season of Viva, taking place in the wild savage land of Kanji, as The High Couch of Wherezit. A high priest of sorts, with Ginger enjoying the irony of finding himself in the couch cushions, when all his mother would ever say is “Turn off the games and get off the couch.”

The Viva La Dungeon Adventure Game Book

We just hit print on the very first 100 copies of the Viva La Dungeon Adventure Gamebook #1: Rise of the Neckromancer. Check out the awesome original cover art done by Greedmaw! We decided to go color throughout the entire book because it is jammed with Greedmaw’s original art.

The Zontco stance on Gen AI Art

This seems like a good segue.
The current season of the live Game Show is using a lot more AI art than we typically have used.
This has been due to health problems and life-changes.
Our official stance is that Zontco is inspired by the technology and is excited to find ways to create original art using AI-enabled tools, but stands absolutely by every artist known and not known by AI, and continues to hold the covenant that “thou shall not sell some other person’s work.”
We will not be selling AI generated art, or content, but we will continue to use it to push the limits of our free and original experiences.
